What multi-site billing should feel like
A close is a ritual, not a project. The software should already know the rules.
Most billing tools are excellent at a single counter and vague about the tenth. The failure shows up at 11pm, when a manager exports three registers into a sheet that still does not agree with the bank.
The tender, the tax profile, and the staff role should stay on the location. A group view can sit above that, but the location never waits on headquarters to finish a shift.
A ward and a lane are both places where the event happens far from the finance office. The record has to be born there.
If you are choosing a system, ask who is allowed to change a tax rule, and how fast a new site inherits it. That answer matters more than the color of the receipt.
