Hardware that already knows its workspace
A terminal is not a catalog item. It is a serial with a warranty and a license.
Xenopic Edge exists for counters, lanes, and stock rooms that still touch the physical world. It does not define the company. The software you publish does.
When a terminal, printer, scanner, or billing machine is purchased, the serial and warranty end date appear under My Hardware. Certified pre-owned units are inspected and re-bound. They are not a drawer of anonymous devices.
New and renewed terminals enroll to the workspace on first boot. The software license is the authority. The device is a participant.
Buy the hardware when the room needs it. Run the software either way.
